Here are more wonderful Jool People from your fellow JC members and Jool Pals!

Danecraft Tragedy - Comedy Bracelet

Theatrical masks have been a popular theme for jewelry, but I found this Danecraft sterling bracelet to be especially enchanting.  Having that many faces reminds me of the gamut of human emotions and that there are always smiles to balance the tears.

Romeo & Juliet

As a lifelong English teacher, I have taught "Romeo and Juliet" to hundreds of kids.  They are always captivated by the romantic story and by their teacher's pins.  These are marked Vogue Sterling and I think they are wonderful.

Laugh Clown, Laugh

I'm just a small town girl, but oddly enough, I fell in love with the Opera Pagliacci when I heard "Vesti la Giubba" (put on the costume) from the opera on the Jerry Seinfeld show . The song describes when the clown Canio discovers his wife's infidelity, but must put on his mask and perform, because the show must go on.  When I found this pin, I was thrilled. It will never leave my side.

Can-Can Dancer

My most famous jewel person is this Eisenberg Original sterling can-can dancer brooch, produced in the early 40's.  [at left]  I've enjoyed her for 11 years now, and an artist used the pin to paint her on the fender of my 1975 Harley Davidson Shovel Head where she appears to sparkle on a black velvet background.  [at right]

Lovely Lady:  Maria?

I love this old fashioned lady brooch: an 18th century diva. I just love multicolored rhinestone brooches -- she’s a dazzler.  [Ed. note:  this piece resembles Coro's "Maria Camargo" brooch. Brunialtis’ 1st book, p. 87, 89.]

Brave Knight in Armor

I've seen this same knight on another pin that was marked Pomerantz.  This man-at-arms is unsigned, but the details of the face are wonderful--the eyes look right at you!

Lorna Breshears

Geisha & Coolie Pins

These adorable 1¼" scatter pins are articulated at the waist. I love the Japanese culture, Memoirs of a Geisha is a favorite book and I'm quite the sushi hound.  If you find the matching Sushi chef pin, let me know ~ tee hee!

"Weighty" Eisenberg Lady

Not what ladies want to hear themselves described as....weighty. But this Eisenberg Original fur clip is almost five inches tall, weighing almost 4 ounces. She has a mate somewhere out there and he's pictured in Dolan's, 3rd Ed.  Wouldn't it be wonderful to have the pair!  (for sale)

Lampl Chinese Couple

Patented in 1940 by Walter Lampl, these beautiful pin clips show the loving respect he had for Asian culture and art. Each figure is 2" tall, with wonderfully detailed enameling and plenty of shiny rhinestones.

Art Nouveau & Ethnic Ladies

While very different in style, I selected these two pieces for their integrity of design.  The Art Nouveau influenced lady with flowing hair is from JJ.  The second, a woman in ethnic costume, looks like she's on the way to market with her child on her back.

Back to School Boy

This darling, 4" springy guy of Bakelite and celluloid is all ready for the first day of school with his satchel and an apple for the teacher.  People jewels are one of my favorite types to collect -- has anyone seen a similar figure?

Myrna Seale

Sheik & Sheik-ess

These pieces were a marriage made in Jewelcollect - an arranged marriage if you will.  My lovely lady found the man of her dreams living in Massachusetts with Andrea of Lochthyme.  Now these large (3") and lovely 1930's composition pieces are together forever.  (for sale)

What's Up?

Made in France, this happy little French clown just makes me smile!   [Ed. note:  doesn't he look like he's trying to remember something, like ....... what was that designer's name?  He also reminds one of Charlie Chaplin's tramp character.]

Roger Erickson

King & Queen of Siam

These pins make you happy.  The costumes are great, the colors are great and they look so alive!  My thoughts go immediately to a different time and place.
